Skicross
Starts, jumps, banked turns, tactics and group racing.
U14/U16
Without giving up school
A competition programme for young athletes who want to grow in skicross, giant slalom and super-G, combining training, competition and studies.
At R2P we see the U14 and U16 categories (born between 2011 and 2014) as a key stage in a skier's development.
We combine skicross with the technical work of alpine skiing and speed to develop well-rounded athletes, ready to take on new challenges in and out of competition.
Our aim is for every athlete to progress at their own pace, build good training habits and enjoy the sport while laying the foundations for their future.
No previous skicross experience is needed. Athletes coming from alpine skiing can join and gradually learn the specific skills of this discipline.
Starts, jumps, banked turns, tactics and group racing.
Turning technique, precision, line and ski control.
Speed, reading the terrain, stability and confidence.
Combining these disciplines lets us work on both individual technique and the skills skicross demands. Progression is adapted to each athlete's age, experience and level.
U14 · 2013–2014
Technical development, a gradual introduction to skicross and speed, sporting habits and first competition experiences.
U16 · 2011–2012
Greater technical demands, specific preparation, national races and possible international experiences suited to their level.
Long-term sporting progression, respecting each athlete's development.
Before each competition there are up to four days of training, almost always in Cerler.
From December to March we train in Cerler every weekend, except when we are racing away. From late January, Friday to Sunday.
From 26 December to 12 January, except the 31st and the 1st.
Two to four days of training at the race venue, to get to know the slope before racing.
December 2026 – January 2027

The team is based in Benasque, but you don't need to live here to join. There are three ways to do it.

Between training, travel and races, the season can take up between 80 and 100 school days. Our ski-school programme exists so that this doesn't cost them the school year.
No one should have to choose between racing and studying.
